Why Accelr8 To Pass Driving School?

Accelr8 To Pass Driving School is based in southern Adelaide. We are all about teaching learner drivers to not just obtain your P's but to understand the system of car control, (which is the safest and most efficient way to drive a motor vehicle) and to be able to use this system to negotiate road and traffic hazards or other dangerous situations while driving on roads.

Types of hazards could be (intersections, roundabouts, traffic lights, lane changing, overtaking) and any other action by  another road user that could affect your progress, the list goes on.

For anyone wanting to refresh their driving skills. We offer a broad range of services and can cater to the driving needs of the wider community.

We are able to help students learn to drive safely, confidently, and to ultimately get your P's,  offering advancement in driving skills through training and preparation for the Vehicle on Road Test (VORT).

Accelr8 To Pass Driving School aims to create assertive drivers who become assets to the road; using a responsive and a well thought out plan, ensuring the safety of the driver, passengers, children, pedestrians and other road users. Students are taught effective ways to use the road, teaching low risk techniques and invaluable skills and knowledge to assist effective low risk driving, safety and vehicle knowledge.

Many parents and guardians feel their own skills are out dated or need some review. We encourage you to come along to a lesson to see what skills are required and taught so that you can encourage and practice with your child when supervising their drive.

Our services are available to provide training to all drivers who seek to improve or update their skills in an open, respectful environment.

Accelr8 To Pass Driving School is available to drivers seeking to convert their overseas licence to a South Australian driver's licence.

Drivers who already hold an unrestricted car licence in other countries and wish to apply for a South Australian driver's licence must first contact the Motor Registration Office at a Service SACentre.

Some laws and regulations may be different and applicants need to show they have an understanding of these differences by completing and passing a theory based test. Theory Test and giveway Practice

Drivers from other countries are then able to get a temporary driving permit (Section 80) equivalent to a car licence. Some countries are recognised as sharing similar laws and may be granted the South Australian licence. Drivers will be permitted to drive on the roads as long you obey Section 80 conditions.

In many cases even with time constraints it is beneficial to seek out lessons before the Vehicle on Road Test to increase ability and get a feel for what is required during the test. The test will be conducted in the same manner as someone who is attempting to get their licence for the first time. Currently a pass mark of 90% or higher is required and should not be taken lightly.

From the time Section 80 permit has been issued, the holder has one month to successfully pass the Vehicle on Road Test or complete the Competency Based Training. Letting the temporary licence lapse or failing to complete the Vehicle on Road Test or Competency Based Training means the international driver must then return to Service SA and apply to become a learner driver and accept the terms of that licence. On such a licence the international driver will no longer be able to drive by themselves. It is important that in knowing this, the correct course of action is taken to ensure a seamless transition from an international licence or overseas conversion to a South Australian licence.
